Law and Legal Studies

Our law collection supports the study of law as it relates to society. Topics covered include constitutional theory, the philosophy of law, human rights, treaties and the treaty making process, and the relationship between law and social change.

This collection supports the broader campus community with an interest in legal studies. It is distinct from the university’s Law Library, which supports the needs of the U-M Law School.

Important related collections

The political science and government information collections also contain materials relevant to legal studies.
