Women’s and Gender Studies
We collect material in a variety of formats to support the study of women and gender. Our areas of focus include the lived experiences of women, feminist theory and practice, women’s health, masculinity, theories of gender, and the intersections of gender, race, class, ability, and other categories of identity.
For collecting purposes, we pay special attention to the needs of students and scholars of Women’s and Gender Studies in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, as well as the Institute for Research on Women & Gender. We also seek to meet the needs of researchers and scholars across the university who study women and gender in any discipline and from a range of methodological approaches.
Our collection includes materials in print, electronic, video, microfilm, and other formats, primarily in English. When needed, we’ll acquire materials in other languages.
