I provide guidance on all aspects of copyright, publishing, scholarly communication, open access and more. I work closely with the campus community to think through approaches to copyright that support transformative learning experiences and U-M strategic priorities. I work with the HathiTrust Digital Library. I work with a copyright-savvy team of copyright specialists who are also available to help.

My professional experience spans museums and libraries -- from the Smithsonian Institution to the Library of Congress. I teach for the U-M School of Information (SI 519 Intellectual Property and Information Law). I have strategic experience in cutting-edge initiatives and government relations. I am interested in the arts, education, and culture in the U.S. and globally. Some recent work includes:
